Wild Collared Turtle Dove in South Florida?

About 4 days ago I found an injured dove. it seems to be a collared turtle dove. I have been getting him to eat and drink well. I feel like I'm doing really well with him, but I also feel like if he dies it will be all my fault. So I'm going to bring him to the rehabilitation center nearby. But I just realized, I have never seen a bird like him in the wild before. Are there wild Collared Turtle Doves in south florida? He's also quite tame and hasn't showed any signs of aggression towards me, and he even steps up on my finger when I put it in the cage.
