Why does my guinea pig want to eat meat or chicken?

when i was eating chicken (grilled) he came up to me and tried to eat it why is he normal? im kinda worried his always Been doing this ever since i got him (september 3) but just now i asked this because he had bitten me when pushed him away i just want to know what should i do
